    Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about magnetic polishing, deburring and our equipment.

Magnetic polishing is a surface finishing process that uses a rotating magnetic field to drive stainless steel pins against metal workpieces. It efficiently performs deburring, polishing, de-oxidizing, and inner hole finishing on complex geometries — all without manual labor. It's widely used for precision-machined components, fasteners, automotive parts, electronics hardware, and medical components.
Magnetic polishing machines can process a wide range of industrial metals including brass, copper, aluminium, 304 stainless steel, titanium alloy, and zinc alloy. They are suited to precision-machined components, fasteners, automotive parts, electronics hardware, and medical components.
It depends on the burr, not just the material. Magnetic polishing is highly effective on the light to moderate burrs left by turning, milling, drilling and punching — including burrs inside holes, cross-drillings and slots that belt, brush and vibratory machines cannot reach. It also de-oxidises and brightens the surface in the same cycle. It is not a heavy deburring process. It will not replace a belt grinder or a wide-belt sheet-metal deburring line, and on very small components with deep internal corners the pins may not fully reach the burr root. Effective field height is approximately 50 mm, so part size matters as well. Rather than guess, send us five of your actual parts — we will run them, film the result and tell you honestly whether the process solves your problem.
Precinova, based in Ambala, Haryana, supplies industrial magnetic polishing machines across India. Our range covers desktop units through to high-volume industrial systems, along with magnetic pins, brighteners and polishing consumables, plus installation, operator training and after-sales service nationwide.
Yes. Send us your part and we will run it on the appropriate machine free of charge, photograph the result, and tell you exactly what the process did and did not achieve on your material. Results depend on the material and the part geometry, which is why we test rather than promise.
Machine selection depends on your workpiece size and batch volume. Desktop models like PMPM-00035 (8–10 KG capacity) suit precision-component workshops and pilot production. Mid-range models like PMPM-09050 (20–30 KG) handle medium batches. Industrial models like PMPM-22060 (50–70 KG) and PMPM-28050 (60–80 KG) are designed for high-volume manufacturing. Magnetic polishing uses a controlled magnetic field to drive stainless steel pins, making it far more effective for complex geometries, inner holes, and delicate parts than vibratory finishing. Vibratory machines use bulk media tumbling, which can damage thin or intricate components. Magnetic polishing is faster (typically 5–15 minutes per cycle), produces no dust or noise, and delivers a more uniform surface finish. It's the preferred choice for medical components, electronics hardware, automotive parts, and precision-machined parts.
Indicative prices for Precinova magnetic polishing machines in India: compact desktop models (PMPM-00035) typically range ₹1.5–3 lakh, mid-size single-station machines (PMPM-00045, PMPM-00050) ₹3–7 lakh, and industrial multi-station systems (PMPM-09050, PMPM-22060, PMPM-28050) ₹8–25 lakh depending on chamber size, controller, and accessories. The fully automatic PMPM-DTA1000 pin polisher is quoted on request. All prices are ex-Ambala, exclusive of GST, and include installation and operator training.
